And they could only provide the press this photo where she was "lager-ing" up?
How convenient!
Mrs Abimbola Adeniyi, a local government chairmanship
aspirant under APC in Ekiti State, was yesterday remanded in prison for alleged
traffic offence and assaulting a police officer and a staff of the Ekiti State
Traffic Management Agency while performing their lawful duty.
The 39-year-old mother of three, allegedly committed the
offence on Friday, October 6. She was arraigned by police prosecutor, Inspector
Caleb Leramo, before Chief Magistrate Richard Adegboye alongside a 23-year old
mechanic operating in Ado Ekiti, Tope Ogidiolu.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.
However, lawyer to the accused persons, Mrs Taiwo Ajibulu, applied for bail
which was objected to by the prosecutor.
Ajibulu said issues of traffic offence was bailable and that
it will be a breach of the rights of her clients to be deprived of bail on
account of flimsy excuse that she could jump bail.
Magistrate Adegboye
eventually ordered that the accused persons to be remanded in prison custody
till October 13, 2017.
If care is not taken, she could miss the primaries.
