Actress turned Evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi lost her only child, Raymond exactly one year ago.
To keep his memory alive, Eucharia went to church to offer thanksgiving to God for the continuous repose of his soul.
We see her smiling in public yet, we imagine her secret tears. And Eucharia summed up her feelings with these lines...
"On the Your birth was a delight . You made me to be called a mother
. You made being a mother and a parent so fulfilling because you were a bundle
of wisdom , intellect , compassion , understanding , not greedy , contented ,
Spirit filled and peaceful . Aaaahh JESUS knows I couldn't have asked for a
better child /son . You were my everything .
But hey , our father , says it's better you go back home .
And I can only but surrender to His absolute Will ."
Hundreds of people who ply their trade in the Nigerian movie industry, came to show solidarity to their colleague, who is doing her best to be strong and zealous in kingdom activities, in spite of the huge loss.
"My precious one , Raymond Joshua chimaobi Chimnonso Ekwu ,
the calendar says it's one year already since you breathed last in my hands .
Hmmm , really ? How come it feels like yesterday ?With joy in my heart , I want to thank each and everyone ,
who shelved other appointments to join me for the one year memorial and
thanksgiving service of my late son , Raymond ."
Raymond passed away in 2017 at the age of 15, following complications from sickle cell anaemia.
May his soul continue to enjoy the perfect bliss that only heaven affords.
